Matt Shuey

Matt Shuey
Matt Shuey is the CEO of Command Construction Services and a licensed North Carolina General Contractor. He has worked in commercial construction for over 15 years and prior to that was a City of Henderson police officer, LE academy instructor, and the departments’ accident reconstructionist.

Matt has always been a supporter of our armed forces and remains motivated to be able to give back to the community for their sacrifices. Utilizing construction expertise and assembling a remarkably talented and capable board has been a pleasure to see come together in commitment to the operation.

Matt, and his family, believe we should honor our veterans and accepts the challenge inherent in the mantra; ‘An honorable society takes care of its warriors.’

John Linderman

John Linderman
John has been providing commercial real estate services to this region since 1983.

Prior to beginning his career in commercial real estate, John served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1981. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Gardner-Webb University. Linderman was recognized six times as a national top performer with the Grubb & Ellis Circle of Excellence Award, and he has been recognized by his peers with the top local award in commercial real estate—the Pillar Award.

He has served as President of the Cary Rotary Club and as President of the Triangle Area YMCA Board of Directors.

Barbara Shuey

Barbara Shuey
Barbara Shuey is a CPA with over 25 years of financial accounting experience. She is a graduate of North Carolina State University. Her passion for supporting US Veterans comes from her love of her country and the knowledge of what those men and women sacrifice to keep the rest of us safe and free.

Barbara is the wife of Matt Shuey, President of Operation Command, and they have 3 children, Kolt, Sierra and Kaede.

“Matt and I have talked about this day since he started his own commercial construction company and we are very excited to finally be able to put things in motion. We are surrounded by strong leaders that share our vision and we are honored to be able to serve those who have served us.”

Paul Davis

Paul Davis
Paul Davis is a Project Manager for Command Construction Services, Inc. and has a background in engineering and metal fabrication. A majority of Paul’s family and in-laws have served in all branches of the military, and he and his wife are very supportive of Veteran causes. They have both volunteered their time and energy to the organization prior to Paul accepting a board position.

Their family lives in Raleigh and when they are not helping Operation Command, you may find them on a soccer or football field cheering on their children’s teams.

Heidi Hoelzle

Heidi Hoelzle
Heidi Hoelzle has worked with Matt and Barbara for over five years as a project administrator, and now as the accounting manager for Command Construction Services, Inc.. During this time, she has shared in their passion for Operation Command and all it does for the Veteran Community in the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Heidi is a proud daughter of a Vietnam Purple Heart Veteran and gets a lot of her Patriotism from her father. She’s attended a few Purple Heart banquets with her family and her husband and loves supporting the local Veteran community.

“It has been a joy working with Operation Command in an administrative and volunteer role. I look forward to being a member of the board.”

Mick Michael

Mick Michael
Mick Michael brings 20 years of home building and real estate experience to Operation Command. After 14 years of leading public and private home building companies, in 2014 Mick and his two partners, started Envision Homes. Envision Homes continues to find success in development, home building, and sales. Mostly known for urban and multi-family developments, product design, leadership and operations continue to be Mick’s passion.

Prior to his home building career, Mick served as an Infantry officer with the 101st Airborne Division. His career military highlights include: Distinguished Military Graduate, Top 5% Officer Basic Course, Ranger School Graduate, Air Assault School Honor Graduate, Northern Warfare Honor Graduate, recipient of the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, 2 Army Commendation Medals, and 2 Army Achievement medals. Mick led the battalion’s scout platoon and sniper teams during an 11 month Southwest Asia deployment.

Mick and his wife Kelly live in Wake Forest and have 4 children. Luke, Tanner, Lexington, and Taylor.

“I am honored to be a part of Operation Command. My heart belongs to the active-duty soldiers and veterans of this great nation. I am inspired daily to want to serve such a selfless group of people, and extremely thankful that Operation Command president Matt Shuey asked me to join his team. The core group of leaders/volunteers are really some amazing people, all of whom are equally committed to community and country, and to be considered was an incredibly humbling opportunity.”

Paul Shuey

Paul Shuey
Paul Shuey is currently a Project Coordinator for Command Construction Services Inc. He played MLB baseball from 1994-2007, eight of those years for the Cleveland Indians, and was a professional angler for five years proceeding that.

Paul is a passionate supporter of his local community. He has coached women’s soccer, provided pitching lessons for local baseball youth, and broadcasted multiple baseball games for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the North Carolina Youth Football Club, and North Wake Baseball where he currently serves as a board member.

“I am humbled to be on the board for Operation Command and have the opportunity to give back to the soldiers who have given so much for our freedoms.”
